I thought highly of this gym until I had a change in my personal trainer. For over a year I worked with one trainer and it was an excellent experience. He was focused on me 100% during our sessions. He always introduced a new training element at every session, and he pushed me hard. I felt great and made substantial improvements. Then he left and another trainer replaced him. The replacement had another approach which at first I liked. The replacement was very well educated on the human anatomy and the science of exercise. But his focus of me felt inadequate. He always arrives late and does not seem to take our workouts as seriously as I would like. Because he is late, he needs to train other clients that arrive on time simultaneously with finishing my routine. As a result he is training multiple clients at the same time. I don't feel I am getting the personal attention I signed up for. If I could I would cancel my personal trainer contract that I originally signed with my first trainer. Per the terms of the contract I can't cancel because of a change in my trainer, which is a shame because I renewed the contract because of the great benefits I achieved with my original trainer. Why is a contract needed? Why can't we pay as we go and terminate the workout sessions when they are not providing any additional benefits? The contract seems to benefit Results. What is the benefit to the gym member of the contract? In all fairness, the group classes are great. Never miss a class with Jen. I hope my comments are taken as intended i.e. to make Results the premier gym in the area..

Use to be a Gold’s Gym then rebranded to Results. Has great schedule of classes and it’s a large gym, free weights and machines.

I go for the fitness classes, appreciating skilled and enthusiastic instructors (and enthusiastic classmates) and total body workouts in a variety of approaches.

Before Joining a Gym, Exercise Your Options

Before joining a gym, think about your own motivations and interests—and consider alternatives. Set realistic fitness goals, then think about whether you really need to pay a company big bucks for activities that are probably available more cheaply elsewhere.

Comparing Local Gyms and Fitness Centers

When considering a fitness facility, consider several points, including what its members say about it, location, membership fees, contract terms, facilities and equipment, classes, and amenities. Our ratings of area clubs will help you find the right fit.

How to Avoid Getting Burned by a Gym Membership

Membership at many clubs doesn’t come cheap. Although some bare-bones gyms cost about $200 a year, many charge more than $600. Want a club that offers racquet sports or a wide range of facilities and amenities? Expect to pay a lot more.
