Comprehensive Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care Services Program
Your life, your decisions, and your well-being matter most to us. Family Planning programs aim to support people and educate them in choosing the timing and spacing of their pregnancies. We offer care in a confidential and respectful manner.
Family Planning services include birth control, emergency contraception, free condoms, sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment, and basic infertility services.
At all of New York State's 160 family planning clinic sites, everyone is welcome, no matter their financial situation or insurance status. Discounted fees based on income are available at all New York State Title X-funded Family Planning clinics.
Finding a Clinic:
Affordable and accessible reproductive and sexual health care is available at each family planning clinic. To find a clinic near you, select a county from the map below, or from a statewide list of providers.
Comprehensive and Inclusive Services:
Family Planning services are available to everyone! No matter your race, age, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, insurance, or ability to pay.
Family Planning Programs offer many reproductive health services:
- Contraceptive Methods and Counseling: Choose from a range of birth control methods, including long-acting, reversible IUDs, implants, pills, patches, emergency contraception, and FREE condoms. Compare your options (PDF).
- Pregnancy Testing and Counseling: Talk to a family planning provider for a confidential pregnancy test and counseling about all available pregnancy options. This includes unbiased information about prenatal care, parenting, adoption, and abortion. More information on abortion services in New York State.
- STI Testing and Treatment: Comprehensive care is available for sexually transmitted diseases/infections, including HIV and related medication, such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
- Referrals: Health education, counseling, and referrals to a full range of health and social services are available at all family planning clinics.
Insurance and Cost Options:
Family Planning providers accept many public and private insurance plans. No one is denied access due to financial limitations or insurance status. If you are unable to afford health care, ask about budget-friendly options. Family Planning Programs offer discounted fees based on income.
- No Insurance? No Problem: Financial support is available if you lack insurance. If you are eligible, providers can assist in enrolling you in state public health insurance programs.
- You may be eligible for a state public health insurance program, such as the Family Planning Benefit Program or the Family Planning Extension Program (PDF):
- The Family Planning Benefit Program is a public health insurance program for New Yorkers who need family planning services. It is intended to increase access to confidential family planning services and to enable teens, women, men, and people of childbearing age to prevent and/or reduce the incidence of unintentional pregnancies.
- The Family Planning Extension Program provides 24 months of family planning services for people who were pregnant while in receipt of Medicaid (regardless of how that pregnancy ended), but who are no longer eligible for Medicaid after their pregnancy has ended.
Telehealth Services for Convenience
Some Family Planning Program clinics offer Telehealth services – that is, health care without an in-office visit. Patients can access care over their computer, cell phone, or tablet. Telehealth makes support and counseling even more convenient.

It is very important to seek counseling to help you make informed decisions about your reproductive health. New Yorkers can seek counseling from our Family Planning program providers. Whether it's choosing the right contraceptive method, planning for a healthy pregnancy, or addressing infertility concerns, our providers are dedicated to offering personalized guidance and support.
